Weekly Update

February 12th, 2004

Greetings everyone,

All is progressing very well at HQ and we are busy making the necessary preparations and arrangements for the forthcoming Ministerial Conference. It's all very exciting. One can't imagine or foresee the innumerable details that need to be thought of—and ironed out—for the success of such an undertaking. However, we are doing our best to belie Paul Harvey's famous line claiming, "there's no sense worrying, nothing's going to turn out alright…"

CHURCH ADMINISTRATION

Ministerial Conference 2004

Yesterday, we sent by e-mail a letter addressed to all the visiting ministers regarding the conferences, giving detailed information and instructions about their accommodations, transportations while in Charlotte, as well as the schedule of activities and events. By now, those of the attendees who have an e-mail address should have received that letter. For those without an e-mail address, the letter was sent by regular mail. Please let us know if you have problems receiving that letter.

Atlanta Singles Weekend

The Atlanta congregation once again plans to have a spring Singles activity during the Days of Unleavened Bread. All singles in the Living Church of God are invited! The following activities are being planned: a Bible Study on Friday, April 9, at 8:00 pm (plan to arrive early on Friday afternoon); Sabbath services at 3:00 pm the next day, followed by a concert of special Sabbath music at 5:30 pm, a meal at 7:00 pm, and a dance starting at 8:30 pm. An activity is planned for the next afternoon (Sunday). We will, of course, have services the Last Day of Unleavened Bread. For further details go to the Atlanta congregation website, www.lcgatl.com, or email [email protected].

COMMENTS

Lately, we have had a number of prayer requests from brethren who are experiencing health problems. Mr. Carl McNair is among them. After moving to Helena, in the last part of November, while unpacking, he pulled a groin muscle. A few weeks later, when things were improving, he tripped and fell, setting everything back to square one. He is in much pain. Please pray for his speedy recovery. Without a miracle, he won't be able to attend these conferences, including the Council of Elders meetings and the Feast Coordinators meeting. Please also pray for all the others who are sick and suffering during this time, as well as for the safety of the ministers and their wives who will be coming to Charlotte for the these conferences.

Y'all have a wonderful Sabbath,

Dibar Apartian
