Dear Brethren and Co-Workers with Christ,
Greetings from Charlotte, NC! While this world is increasingly absorbed with pre-Christmas shopping, parties, drinking and carousing, the specific end-time prophecies of the Bible are all beginning to come together. America is in the midst of its end of the year Christmas, New Year’s orgy. Meanwhile, Europe continues its quest for unity and a position of prominence on the world stage, while China, India, Japan and other rising nations build up their financial reserves as America goes deeper and deeper into debt. The peoples of this world, influenced by the media, are simply not focusing on “connecting the dots” regarding the really big issues that are going to have a tremendous impact on the world in the days and years just ahead!
The Eternal God—the Creator of everything that is and the One who controls the rise and fall of nations (Daniel 4:25)—has always had true servants to help sincere people understand the meaning of world events. Notice Amos’ prophecy describing how God does “reveal” major events to His true servants, “Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken! Who can but prophesy?” (Amos 3:7-8). The Work we are carrying on at Tomorrow’s World is, in fact, the continuation of the historical Work of God which has existed from Jesus Christ down through the ages until now. Since God does give understanding to those who obey Him (Psalm 111:10), we have been granted genuine understanding of the details of prophetic events more than any other peoples on earth. This is not because we are smarter or better. It is because God has “called” us and—in His mercy—granted us this understanding. But we must share it with you. We are commanded by God to warn our peoples and to proclaim the Good News of His coming Government to the whole world as a “witness” (Matthew 24:14)—though not necessarily to convert everyone at this time.
Please let me remind you, dear brethren and co-workers, we have quite a range of booklets offered absolutely free upon your request—covering nearly all aspects of end-time prophetic events. They range from our booklet describing a whole panorama of world events entitled, Fourteen Signs Announcing Christ’s Return to The Beast of Revelation to Revelation: The Mystery Unveiled! to The Middle East in Prophecy to Armageddon and Beyond to Prophecy Fulfilled: God’s Hand in World Affairs and others. If you really want to understand, be sure to call or write and request copies of any of these very well written and eye-opening booklets—each of which give specific information about various aspects of prophecy. Literally, there is no other place on earth where you will receive such a wealth of information. And, remember, it is all sent out absolutely free upon your request.
In order to fulfill the mission that Jesus Christ gave to His Church to warn this world about prophetically important forth coming events, we have had to budget very carefully during this period of economic downturn. During this last year, we also had to make major budgetary adjustments in a number of areas to enable this Work to continue. However, we do look to Jesus Christ to provide the means to do His Work.
We feel that the true Head of this Work and of His Church, Jesus Christ, guided and blessed these efforts. Even though we made severe cuts in our TV station line-up in the United States, we were able to add two new TV networks for Tomorrow’s World telecasting: the ION Network and the CW-Plus Network. These two additions increased our coverage from 200 local TV stations to more than 300, and significantly expanded our capability to reach more than 100 million TV households in the United States. More than 85 percent of all TV households in the United States and Canada can now watch the Tomorrow’s World telecast! We thank God and you for your help in this major move forward! With God’s special blessings, your contributions and earnest, heartfelt prayers are a tremendous help.
As a special expression of our appreciation for your help and loyalty, we are enclosing a year-at-a-glance calendar for 2010. This helpful calendar lists the Holy Days commanded by the Creator which will soon be kept by all the world (Zechariah 14:16-19). We hope it will be helpful for you in focusing upon the things that matter to God.
Just this week, we achieved a new milestone here in the United States and Canada when the 200,000th TV response came in since the beginning of this year. We are receiving the highest responses ever this year from our combined worldwide TV coverage. In fact, we are averaging over 4,100 responses every week from the Tomorrow’s World telecast! By year’s end we are projecting nearly a quarter million TV responses from our TV stations in countries around the world. Since the beginning of this year, our data show that more than 2.6 million households saw our telecast for the first time. Since the telecast began 10 years ago, the telecast has now been watched by an estimated 20 million households, touching the lives of about 50 million people around the world!
This past month we reached a new milestone with the Tomorrow’s World magazine when we added the tiny nation of Andorra (between Spain and France), to our worldwide subscription list. This leaves only 29 countries in the world which have not received a Tomorrow’s World subscription. The magazine has now gone into 86 percent of all 192 UN-recognized countries. This year, we mailed 1.9 million magazine copies, plus 640,000 booklets, lessons, CDs, DVDs and other publications. In addition, more than 500,000 booklets were read on-line on our TomorrowsWorld.org website. This year, our website has had upwards of 2 million visits!
God’s Work is moving forward. Yet at a time when millions are planning to give Christmas presents to one another, each of us who understands needs to realize that our greatest gift to hundreds of millions of our fellow human beings will be to dedicate our lives to earnestly warning them of the soon-coming Great Tribulation and helping them understand the absolute need and reality of Christ’s coming World Government to be set up on this earth to bring genuine peace at last!
In a seldom-remembered passage—because it was placed right in the middle of the book of Proverbs—God tells His people, “If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small. Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, ‘Surely we did not know this,’ does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?” (Proverbs 24:10-12).
Frankly our eternal reward in God’s Kingdom will heavily depend on how much we “give” of ourselves—our time, our talents and our resources in reaching out to this confused world to “deliver” those who certainly are being drawn toward death—death in the greatest tribulation ever to hit this earth as Jesus Christ Himself stated (Matthew 24:21-22). So may God help all of us to understand and give our lives to the Creator and to the living Jesus Christ in His active service now!
Most of you realize that this present age as we know it is certainly coming to an end. We realize that things will “never be the same again.” Hopefully, most of you realize that only the Second Coming of the true Jesus Christ of the Bible will help straighten things out fully and permanently. Therefore, our task and our goal should be to “do all we can” to genuinely prepare for the coming Kingdom of God and honor our Creator with how we live our lives in these last years of human existence in Satan’s world.
Please remember Jesus Christ’s “Parable of the Talents” as Matthew was inspired to tell us. As the man who increased his five talents to ten was told, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord” (Matthew 25:20-21). He who doubled the two talents was given a similar blessing as a “type” of rulership in the Kingdom of God. For these men were faithful in giving of their time, talents and resources in God’s service. What about you and me?
As this Roman calendar year comes to a close, may God inspire each of us to “go all out” in giving of ourselves and our resources to the special Work which Christ is using at this time! Jesus Himself said, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work” (John 4:34). Many Scriptures tell us that if we are generous with God, He will be generous with us! So please give generously at this time, dear brethren and friends, for the Work is in great need of your assistance and your prayers.
