Dear Brethren and Co-Workers with Christ,
Greetings from Charlotte, NC! The world around us is changing—very swiftly! Because our own Congress keeps threatening to hit the Chinese with various trade sanctions over their unwillingness to adjust their currency more rapidly, the Chinese have now officially threatened to use the “nuclear option”—to sell billions of our dollars which they own in Treasury bills and notes and which would drive down the value of our own currency precipitously! This would have an immediate and dramatic effect—causing our own prices to go up and inflation to strike our people perhaps harder than ever before! Do we really want “Trade War?”
At the same time, Russia—which has more real nuclear weapons than any other nation except America—is becoming more and more threatening. Article after article is coming out showing that their President, Vladimir Putin, is becoming a true dictator in every sense—crushing dissent and causing people throughout his nation to be “disappeared” if they disagree with him too openly. And now, Russia is planning on producing “a new submarine-based missile system in 2008. It is part of a big increase in the country’s spending on research, development and procurement of weaponry, prompting fears of a new cold war” (Spiegel Online, August 6, 2007).
Meanwhile, America’s moral toboggan slide continues unabated. It is obvious throughout our entire society. Recently, this news item came across my desk: “San Diego Firefighters Forced to Participate in ‘Gay Pride’ Parade Subjected To Gross Sexual Gestures and Obscenities: Thomas More Law Center Files Claim” (August 6, 2007). The article goes on to state, “Four respected San Diego firefighters were ordered, against their wishes, to participate in uniform on their city fire truck in the city’s annual ‘Gay Pride’ parade. During the course of the ensuing three hour long ordeal, the firefighters were subjected to vile sexual taunts from homosexuals lining the parade route.” The article then described the vile sexual statements which are not fit for me to print here!
What an abomination!
What an affront to the God of the Bible whom we supposedly serve in this nation, and regarding whom we state on our currency, “In God We Trust.” Where are the impassioned sermons in our “mainstream” churches condemning these vile practices now increasingly promoted throughout our society? Where are the ministers who obey God’s command, “Cry aloud , spare not; lift up your voice like a trumpet; tell My people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins”(Isaiah 58:1). Where indeed are our so-called religious “leaders” who should be rightly condemning these kinds of actions? Nowhere!
Let me speak very plainly. Many of you dear co-workers who help support this Work of the living Christ probably do not remotely grasp the enormity of the departure of “mainstream” religion from the God of the Bible! Most “mainstream” leaders appear to be “nice” people. They do not come out directly and condemn the Bible. They are far more subtle than that. And, sadly, many of them are sincerely and totally blinded themselves! Yet Jesus said of such religious leaders, “Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch” (Matt. 15:14). Do you really want your family and loved ones to follow these blind leaders directly into the Great Tribulation and perhaps later the Lake of Fire?
I am very serious! I understand that many of you may feel that these people are “sincere.” For, as I have mentioned to you a number of times, I myself grew up for the first nineteen years of my life in a very respectable “mainstream” Protestant church. I went along, in blind conformity with the practices of this kind of watered-down Christianity as countless millions of others are doing today. Finally, God truly ”shook” me through a series of circumstances. I came to realize that I had had no understanding of the real message of the Bible. I just felt that it was okay to be “nice” and to “go to the church of my choice” regularly and that this would help me “go to heaven” when I died.
I was never taught about Jesus’ clear message, “No one has ascended into heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man” (John 3:13). I was never taught the plain scriptures which state again and again in various phrases that Christ has, “Made us kings and priests to our God; and that we shall reign on the earth” (Rev. 5:10). I was never taught that “all ten” of God’s Ten Commandments—including the one about the Sabbath—were binding on all true Christians today! I was never taught the inspired message of the Apostle John that our prayers are answered, “Because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight” (1 John 3:22).
Frankly, my friends, in “mainstream” Christianity I was never taught (nor were most of you!) the real Plan of God which He is working out during this first six thousand years of human experience—leading to the seventh one thousand-year period (the “Millennium”) during which Christ will rule the nations on this earth and bring genuine peace and joy at last! So the literally dozens of important concepts and details of God’s plan and purpose were simply left out in all the religious teaching that I and my other Protestant friends from various Protestant denominations were receiving!
As the prophetic events we have written about for so many years begin to occur with increasing speed, I feel a genuine need to try to “reach out” to all of you and help you grasp what is really happening while there is time. For your good, not ours, please take the time to prove what we are saying in the Tomorrow’s World magazine, over the telecast and in the dozens of booklets and other materials we send out to you absolutely free upon your request. Take time to write for and genuinely study our Tomorrow’s World Bible Study Course so you can really “get the picture” while you have the opportunity! This Work of Christ is in the process of “Restoring Original Christianity.” We are sincerely and heartfeltly attempting to get back to the exact faith and practices which Christ and the apostles followed and which, in fact, constitute genuine Christianity.
If you think about it, I believe all of you will realize that any other“Christianity” is not genuine—for it is not what Christ taught, not what the apostles taught and not what any true Christian ought to be practicing if he wants to honor the God of the Bible! These two booklets will give you a fairly thorough picture of what is truly wrong with professing “Christianity” today. They will help you realize how Satan the Devil has “hijacked” the name of Christ and stamped it on all kinds of pagan ideas and concepts!
This Work you have somehow been brought into contact with will give you full understanding of this whole matter and—as you write for and study our booklets on biblical prophecy—you will increasingly grasp and be able to prove that God is indeed directly intervening in human affairs today in the exact pattern that this Work has been predicting for years! You will grasp that other churches simply do not understand! They are not now called to understand. So you have to be willing to “come out” of the mainstream and have the courage to truly serve God according to His Word and not try to comfortably “fit in” with your family and friends into this world’s “mainstream” society and religion!
Time is short! The Work behind the Tomorrow’s World television program and magazine is now surging ahead faster than ever! We are adding more television stations! We are adding more programs to truly strengthen our supporters! We are having a far greater impact on this world than ever before. And the great God whom we serve is truly beginning to intervene more than ever to bring about the entire panorama of these prophetic events we have been telling you about for so many years.
It is exciting! But it is also sobering. So I hope that I have not offended you in “speaking plainly” about your need to truly prove and to act on the full Truth which we proclaim. Be sure to do as I tell you so often, “Do not believe me, but believe your Bible!” Take the time to study and truly prove these Truths directly from the Word of God—not just from articles and booklets or from “commentaries” written often by carnal men with no spiritual understanding. Somewhere on this earth, at the time of the end, God will have a true Church and a true Work proclaiming His message to the world so that people will, indeed, have a genuine opportunity to understand and to act in time before the Great Tribulation begins. May God help you to understand and help you to act.
