Weekly Update

September 9th, 1999

Greetings Everyone:

It's a girl! I just received a call from our son in Manila, Philippines. Dana, his wife, just delivered their first child-a 7lb 2oz girl they have named Tressie Elizabeth. This is grandchild number 13 for us-seven grandsons and six granddaughters. Wow! Am I blessed or what? Mother, Dad, and baby are fine.

GENERAL ITEMS:

The Feast of Trumpets is this Sabbath. Most of us are traveling this weekend (Mr. Apartian is remaining in San Diego for Trumpets service), so we are all trying to get caught up on our work before leaving town tomorrow or Friday. My wife and I are looking forward to visiting the brethren in Alaska this weekend.

PRAYER UPDATE:

Mr. James Hamby wrote: "I am very pleased to announce that the pathology report came back negative on my wife Carolyn's open biopsy." This in spite of the doctor's certainty that she had cancer based upon his examination. Thanks to all for your prayers and your cards of encouragement.

We are very happy to report that LISA CONGER, of Phoenix, AZ is recovering from a serious emergency surgery. She has a baby girl, and she and the daughter are going to be fine.

All others on the prayer list need your continued prayer.

Sorry for the short note this week, but I must get out of town. Please drive safely this weekend.
