World Public Library
The World Public Library provides over 3 million titles in over 100 different languages. It contains audio books, technical books, historical books, classic works of literature, serials, bibliographies, dictionaries, encyclopedias, and other heritage works in a number of languages and countries around the world. A small annual fee provides full access to this huge collection.

Open Library is an online library where books can be checked out, borrowed, and returned, all online. Over 1,000,000 titles on a variety of topics.

The Digital Public Library of America brings together the riches of America’s libraries, archives, and museums, and makes them freely available to the world.

Library of Congress
Included are over 17 million catalog records of books, manuscripts, maps, music recordings, prints and photographs, talking books and electronic resources from the LC collection. Browse by author, subject, title, and advanced and keyword searches. Also available are subscription and free databases, e-journals, ebooks and broadcast and archival recordings, including 78s, 45s, and copyright tapes.

British Library
Explore the world’s knowledge through British newspapers, online exhibits, literary treasures such as the Magna Carta and tour fascinating galleries, the latest news and much more.

Oxford Bodleian Library
This University of Oxford site allows for topical searches from a to z and even includes the latest news. It has an outstanding video tutorial Research Skills Toolkit with helpful IT and library skills for your research. Questions may also be addressed to librarian subject specialists.

JSTOR

Jstor is a digital library for scholars, researchers, and students, with more than 10 million academic journal articles and ebooks in 2,400 scholarly journals across 75 disciplines. You can search by title, author, subject and abstract. Once you register, you may log in quickly and it’s free. While there are resources requiring fees, there is a wealth of entirely free worthwhile information. Type your desired topic in the search bar, scroll to the bottom left of the home page and indicate your desire to either read online or download. You may choose the “Advanced Search” option and limit to a specific discipline to refine your findings.

Post-Reformation Digital Library
Here is a database of digital books relating to the development of theology and philosophy during the Reformation, Post-Reformation/Early Modern Era (late 15- 18th c.), and late medieval and patristic works printed and referenced in the early modern era.

Here online church related PDF books are located on various subjects such as Christian living and Bible studies with the help of a table of contents.

Globe Digital Library on Theology and Ecumenism

The Global Digital Library on Theology and Ecumenism (GlobeTheoLib) is a multilingual online library offering access free of charge to full-text articles, journals, books and other resources on theology, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, ethics, and ecumenism in World Christianity.

This provides access to classic church related literature.

Internet Christian Library
Provides a guide to early church documents.

Theological Commons
A digital library of over 80,000 resources on theology and religion, including periodicals, audio recordings, and other formats. The Theological Commons only includes materials that are either out of copyright or have special copyright holder permission. The PDF files in Theological Commons contain digital images of the printed pages from a physical book. Many e-book readers cannot display such PDF files while full-fledged tablet computers such as iPad and Kindle Fire can.

The Theological Research Exchange Network (TREN) is a library of over 19,998 theological thesis/dissertation titles representing research from as many as 132 different institutions.
