Welcome to all of you new co-workers! Over the last several months, hundreds more donors and co-workers have joined our ranks as they begin to understand the ongoing surge of prophetic events! The impact of this Work is certainly increasing—and additional millions are now able to view the Tomorrow’s World telecast and our powerful messages on our website. We are thankful for this, and want to welcome all of you who are now beginning to assist us in getting Christ’s powerful message to a very, very confused world. This world desperately needs what we have to give! With all our heart, we want to sacrificially serve our Creator and proclaim Christ’s warning message and the Good News of the coming Kingdom of God so people can understand the meaning of these exciting world events and the purpose for their very lives! Thank you for your help!
The news sources tell us that America’s debt is going to grow by about nine trillion dollars over the next decade! That is almost incomprehensible and will certainly result in a devalued dollar and a lower standard of living for our people unless we repent and turn to the God of the Bible who has allowed all these things to come upon us. Now, China, Russia and other major nations are beginning to lecture us about our devaluation of the dollar. They don’t want to hold U.S. Treasury notes and bonds which will become increasingly worthless. As we have told you many times, the Eternal God of our fathers predicted our demise and these very conditions millennia ago. He told our forefathers that unless we repented and began to obey His commandments and statutes, “I will break the pride of your power; I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze. And your strength shall be spent in vain; for your land shall not yield its produce, nor shall the trees of the land yield their fruit”
(Leviticus 26:19-20). As we are already seeing, Americans earn money, only to see it slip away—like putting it in a “bag with holes” (Haggai 1:6).
The Eternal God also told our forefathers that, unless we repent, “The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail” (Deuteronomy 28:43-44).
As you can clearly see, all these things are beginning to happen! We—the American and British-descended people—are going down and out! And we are becoming more and more indebted as God specifically predicted. Only this Work is proclaiming all of these events and helping you understand clearly a way of life you need to be living to escape all these things and be a part of the coming Kingdom of God.
The great God who inspired the Bible also stated, “The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender” (Proverbs 22:7). Through God’s blessing on us, the American and British-descended peoples have had by far the richest and most powerful nations on this earth for nearly 200 years. But, now, the opposite is occurring. America has become the biggest “borrower” in human history! And so our standard of living is slowly but surely beginning to slip away—and other “alien” nations are beginning to gain more power and prestige all over this earth. We need to understand these specifics and we need to truly turn to God—not just any God—but the God of the Bible! My friends, unless there is a genuine national repentance of a type we have never had before, your life—and the lives of your loved ones—will never be the same!
Why?
Because although our peoples mostly profess Christianity and have sent more Bibles and missionaries all over the earth than any others, we have truly turned away from the God of the Bible. Very few today actually know or believe in that God—the only true God. For the Eternal Creator and His ways have been made to seem “odd,” old-fashioned and out of touch by increasingly liberal and even God-rejecting ministers—who profess to be ministers of Jesus Christ! Our whole society is becoming a God-rejecting and secular society turning away from the God of the Bible! So we are now descending into a degree of sin, debauchery and perversion that would have been unthinkable just 50 years ago! The city where this Work is headquartered—Charlotte, NC—used to be called the “Buckle” of the Bible Belt. But just the other day, the religion editor of our local newspaper rhetorically asked if practicing homosexuals should be admitted to the ministry of Jesus Christ! He asked, “Can same-sex unions be blessed?” He acknowledged this is one of “…the hottest questions in mainline Protestantism, igniting civil wars among…Episcopalians, United Methodists and members of the country’s largest Presbyterian and Lutheran denominations. The latest battle was fought two weeks ago in Minneapolis. That’s where the national assembly of the 4.7 million member Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (EL-CA) voted to end a policy blocking non-celibate gay and lesbian clergy” (Charlotte Observer, September 5, 2009).
However, at least one Charlotte minister is not happy with this super-liberal and non-biblical approach. He says the vote described above “repudiated two thousand years of biblical interpretation.” He stated, “I think there’s only one person laughing with delight—Satan.”
Again why? How can this be happening in professing Christian churches in our nation?
The answer is that even our religious leaders have increasingly set up human reasoning as the basis of their ideas about human behavior instead of the inspired revelation from Almighty God! They have absolutely turned away from the God of the Bible.
The Eternal God warned our forefathers, “Hear the word of the Lord, you children of Israel, for the Lord brings a charge against the inhabitants of the land: ‘There is no truth or mercy or knowledge of God in the land. By swearing and lying, killing and stealing and committing adultery, they break all restraint, with bloodshed upon bloodshed…. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children’” (Hosea 4:1-2, 6).
Because we have indeed “forgotten” the Law of God—the Ten Commandments—God says that He will “forget” us and our children. So God has removed His protective hand from America and Britain whose people have, until recently, been given the “choice” parts of the earth and awesome physical blessings unprecedented in human history.
Our Creator has said, “Enough!”
- Enough of your lying, cheating and financial abuse at the highest levels of your government and business!
- Enough of your fornication, adultery, “living together” and your absolutely perverted sex practices!
- Enough of your violence, rape and murder often fomented by the increasing lurid and vile depictions of sex and violence in your mainstream media!
- Enough of your putting up with and even approving professing ministers of Jesus Christ who actually deny virtually everything which the true Christ and His disciples actually taught!
My friends, if God is opening your mind to the Truth through this Work, I urge you in Christ’s name to “wake up!” Please begin to take action on the Truth we have been giving many of you for years! For the time is short! Now, at last, nearly all the prophetic events we have specifically warned you about for decades either have happened or are beginning to happen.
This is a special week to me, personally. For exactly 60 years ago this week, the Eternal God led me to Ambassador College in Pasadena, CA. There, as a “pioneer” student, I was personally instructed in the Bible and the whole purpose of life by Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong—a man many of you have heard about. This man was used by God to “restore” more biblical Truth to the Church of God than any other human being for hundreds of years! He was used by Almighty God to reach tens of millions of people all around the world with the knowledge that the very real kingdom—or government—of Almighty God would soon be set up on this earth based on the laws of God.
Decades before the events happened, Herbert W. Armstrong predicted that the nations of eastern Europe would break free from the Soviet Union and that the Berlin Wall would come down! He predicted that—after being united again—a powerful, resurgent Germany would become the political and military leader of a coming European Empire (see Revelation 17). He prophesied back in the early 1950s that the British Empire would soon “be no more”—and that the power and prestige of the American and British descended people would be “broken.” No one else even came close to truly understanding the biblical prophesies in such detail!
My entire adult life—starting 60 years ago when I came to Ambassador College—has been spent helping Mr. Armstrong “do the Work” or trying to carry on that Work after his death. In this Work which produces the Tomorrow’s World television program and magazine, we have with us more of the older, leading men who actually worked with Herbert W. Armstrong than any other organization on earth. That should tell you something!
Now, we are truly near the very close of this age. We are earnestly preaching and proclaiming Christ’s imminent return to earth as King of kings (Revelation 11:15). We are constantly helping you—and all who will listen—to understand that true Christians are not called to “float off to heaven” with nothing to do. Rather we are “called” by God to prepare ourselves to assist the living Jesus Christ—at His return—in literally ruling over the nations of this earth. For God’s Word clearly states that He has “made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth” (Revelation 5:10).
So we implore each of you to be an “overcomer” who will have the glorious opportunity to rule with Jesus Christ and bring genuine peace and joy to this suffering world (Revelation 2:26-27). And we implore you not to succumb to the weak-kneed, Laodicean, “lukewarm” approach which God Himself predicted would even dominate most of His people at the time of the end. For even though most of these people are “nice” and know much of the Truth, they will be cast out into the “fire”—of the Great Tribulation—unless they truly repent and become filled with zeal. For Christ directly tells these people, “So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked—I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent” (Revelation 3:16-19).
We truly have a powerful Work to do! May God help all of you to understand and to “get on board”—and to zealously support proclaiming Christ’s message to a very confused world. In this time of recession, the Work of Christ needs your zealous support right now! In many, many different ways, God tells us through His inspired Word that if we are willing to go “all out” in giving to Him and to His Work, then He will take care of us in the perilous times just ahead. As the Apostle Paul wrote the Corinthians, “But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:6-8).
May our loving God inspire you, motivate you and use you as His servants. And then bring you into His everlasting Kingdom as you zealously walk with Him.
