Dear Brethren and Co-Workers with Christ,
Greetings from Charlotte, NC! Talk about natural disasters! Even as I write, radio and television reports tell us that tens of thousands of human beings have perished in the powerful earthquake which just struck Pakistan and parts of India. Perhaps none of these people were truly acquainted with the God of the Bible, but every human being is precious in God’s sight.
Our Creator is allowing these swiftly increasing "natural" catastrophes to occur for a number of reasons. One of these reasons, no doubt, is to focus people’s minds all over the earth on how vulnerable we are. As the Apostle James was inspired to tell us, "For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away" (James 4:14). For the hundreds of thousands who are dying in these disasters—and the increasing millions who are dying because of AIDS in Africa and elsewhere—life can be very short.
We all need to ask ourselves, "Why were we born? Is there really a supreme purpose in life? If so, where can we find out about that purpose and how to achieve it?"
As most of you know, that is why this Work of God exists! In spite of our own weaknesses, we in this Work do understand that awesome purpose and how to fulfill our "reason for being." Meanwhile, the awesome prophecies of the Bible, which we have constantly been telling you about in Tomorrow’s World magazine and on the Tomorrow’s World television program, are all beginning to come about right on schedule. Through our constantly growing radio, television and Internet coverage, this Work is reaching out to increasing millions of people all over the globe. And unlike so many ministries in the "mainstream" of religion, we actually prove—verse by verse—what we are telling you right out of your own Bible. The Bible, frankly, is quite clear on today’s most basic subjects! It is just that most people don’t really study the Bible and believe that it says what it means and means what it says. However, if you read and listen carefully, you will perceive that we don’t "generalize" about end-time prophecy. We don’t generalize about Jesus Christ returning "someday, somehow." We spell out for you why Christ is coming back during this age, why the British-descended and American peoples are gradually but consistently being brought down, why the U.S. dollar is collapsing and will continue to collapse. Rather than referring to vague ideas about the end-times, we spell out in specific terms the breakdown of the economic, military and political power of the British-descended and American peoples and why our "pride of power" will definitely be broken over the next several years. The "mainstream" religionists do not give you this information and, indeed, cannot explain these awesome things to you—because they do not understand and are not willing to recognize who we are in Bible prophecy!
Yet all of us in this Work of the living Christ certainly love our own nation—whether it be America, Canada, Britain, etc. But because of this love for our own peoples and for all human beings, we are willing to dedicate our lives to telling you the full Truth of the Bible—though it often turns out to be very unpopular with the majority of people. It would be so much easier for us to just "go along" with the majority in the "mainstream" religions. In the short run, our lives would probably be a lot easier, and more people would gladly accept our message because it would not force them to change or make any difficult decisions.
However, the Eternal God who gives us life and breath has definitely called us to His service, and to get out His warning message to our peoples. He has directed us to tell our peoples the full Truth about our national identity, about what lies just ahead, and about our personal and national sins. God tells us, "Cry aloud, spare not; lift up your voice like a trumpet; tell My people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins" (Isaiah 58:1). More than any ministry on earth today, we tell our peoples plainly and clearly what the inspired Word of God actually says about our modern way of life—and exactly where it will lead our peoples unless we repent.
With all our hearts, we proclaim to you—as did the Apostle Paul—"the whole counsel of God" (Acts. 20:27). For those who have "eyes to see" it will become increasingly clear, as each year goes by, where God is truly working. For your own sake, I urge all of you to genuinely study the Bible as never before! "Prove all things, and hold fast that which is good" (I Thess. 5:21, KJV). As the end of this age draws to a close, learn to be passionate about your relationship with the true Jesus Christ revealed in the Bible, and about what He actually taught. For that is the way which will soon be taught and practiced all over the world. You can be a "pioneer" in learning and teaching that God-inspired way of life!
As these prophetic events unfold, may God inspire all of us to "go all out" in our efforts to reach our peoples with Christ’s true message while there is time. Please remember these pertinent words of Jesus Christ, "I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work" (John 9:4). That "night" of spiritual darkness is drawing ever closer as our personal and national sins increase. May God inspire all of us to give generously of our tithes and offerings to the Work of the living Christ and so do our part to powerfully warn our peoples of what lies ahead—and also to help them learn God’s way of life and truly prepare for Tomorrow’s World and the glorious reign of Jesus Christ over this earth.
