Dear Brethren and Co-Workers with Christ,
Greetings from Charlotte, NC! Almost every day on our local news station, I hear a commercial inviting the public to hear a performance of Handel’s “Messiah.” During the commercial, they play the majestic refrain, “King of kings and Lord of lords.”
Very beautiful.
But, really, how many millions of our American and British-descended people actually believe these inspiring words? Most of you Tomorrow’s World readers probably realize that our peoples have virtually forgotten the existence of the very real God—the Creator of heaven and earth—the God that is right now beginning to intervene in the affairs of many nations more than in centuries. Most people definitely do not believe that the Jesus Christ of the Bible will soon return in magnificent glory to rule all the nations of this world! In fact, millions of our people actually wish that the God of the
Bible would “just keep His nose out of our lives!”
So, even the President of the United States has stated that he actually approves of “men marrying men”! Now, news comes that the Supreme Court of the United States is planning to rule on the “same-sex marriage” issue as early as this summer. And several states have already voted to “approve” this abominable practice—a practice that would have been un-thinkable even ten or fifteen years ago! The founding fathers of America would “turn over in their graves” if they could somehow learn of these shocking developments. As many of you know, America’s original leaders overwhelmingly believed that the Bible is inspired by God and was to be obeyed as a way of life. Our first President, George Washington, stated: “It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible” (Halley’s Bible Handbook, p. 18). Also, Daniel Webster heartfeltly commented, “If there is anything in my thoughts or style to commend, the credit is due to my parents for instilling in me an early love of the Scriptures. If we abide by the principles taught in the Bible, our country will go on prospering and to prosper; but if we and our posterity neglect its instructions and authority, no man can tell how sudden a catastrophe may overwhelm us and bury all our glory in profound obscurity” (Halley’s Bible Handbook, p. 18).
The inspired Word of God is very clear about our Creator’s attitude toward homosexuality. God instructed His people in Leviticus 18:22, “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.” And the Apostle Paul described in the New Testament the philosophers in his day, “Professing to be wise, they became fools” (Romans 1:22). And in verses 26-27, the Apostle Paul continued, “For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.”
The Eternal God commands His true ministers, “Cry aloud, spare not; lift up your voice like a trumpet; tell My people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins” (Isaiah 58:1). In all honesty, how many professing ministers of Jesus Christ today have the courage to actually speak up with power and “cry aloud” to our peoples about the absolute abominations increasingly practiced and even promoted in our media, among our politicians and by thousands of weak-willed and cowardly men who pretend to be “ministers of God”?
No wonder that untold millions of men and women have already left or are now leaving the so-called “mainstream” churches in our western society.
The well-known Protestant writers and religious analysts Frank Viola and George Barna acknowledge, in their recent book entitled Pagan Christianity?, that many of the ideas and practices of modern “Christianity” do not derive from the Bible, but rather from paganism. These authors acknowledge: “We live in the midst of a silent revolution of faith. Millions of Christians throughout the world are leaving the old, accepted ways of ‘doing church’ for even older approaches…. If the truth be told, we Christians never seem to ask why we do what we do. Instead, we blithely carry out our religious traditions without asking where they came from. Most Christians who claim to uphold the integrity of God’s Word have never sought to see if what they do every Sunday has any scriptural backing. How do we know this? Because if they did, it would lead them to some very disturbing conclusions that would compel them by conscience to forever abandon what they are doing” (p. xxv, 5).
My dear friends, no wonder our nations are going down and out unless we repent. For a watered down “Christianity” has opened the floodgates to immorality and vile practices which now permeate our entire society. A very blatantly godless media industry has fostered and promoted illicit sex, pornography, unbridled violence and the constant approach to hedonism and obvious disregard for even the idea of a real God who gives mankind “Ten Commandments” to live by!
In the name of Jesus Christ, I want to warn all of you dear subscribers: America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Britain are very near the end of our rope! As more and more “same-sex” couples are pictured “rejoicing” in their perverted lifestyle becoming “legal,” the Eternal God is not amused. Soon, He will intervene in loving correction and shake our God-rejecting society to its very foundations! At that point, the Great Tribulation which Jesus Christ Himself predicted will be upon us. As Jesus stated, “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened” (Matthew 24:21-22).
Before more millions of young people are drawn into various perverted lifestyles and have their consciences hardened, before additional millions of unborn babies are murdered in our “modern” version of the pagan sacrificial rite of abortion, before the coming Great Rebellion predicted in 2 Thessalonians 2 completely prevails, God will intervene!
Meanwhile, somewhere on this earth, God has always had a true Church—the “little flock” (Luke 12:32)—composed of those who truly “Fear God and keep His commandments” (Ecclesiastes 12:13). These are the true saints of God who are described by the Apostle John in this way: “Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus” (Revelation 14:12).
We who have been given this understanding must exercise the faith and the courage to “lift up our voices” and heartfeltly warn our people before it is too late! I deeply feel—based on literally dozens of ongoing events—that we are about to enter the time of the “beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:8) which Jesus indicated would come just before the full scale Great Tribulation. So, my friends, we have a job to do! May God inspire and guide all of us to be wholehearted in proclaiming His Truth to this very confused and very deceived world.
Though this Work of faith is still small, we are increasingly having a significant impact more than ever. As many of you long-time co-workers may recall, Superstation WGN has for many years been one of our most powerful outlets for preaching the True Gospel to the world. Responses to the WGN telecast have continued to excel, as before, and the cost per response has continued to decline as responses have grown. Recently, however, telecast responses on two of our newer networks—ION and WORD—have each begun to exceed the WGN responses, most weeks. Because of these powerful stations, telecast response recently exceeded 8,500 in one week, for the first time ever! Overall, more than 50 percent of these contacts are first-time responders. Brethren, thank you very much for standing with us in this important effort to proclaim God’s powerful warning message to a world in desperate need. Your prayers, your faithful tithes, offerings and special gifts are beginning to help us have a genuine impact on this world beyond what we have ever done. Thank you!
As I said earlier, somewhere on this earth, God has a genuine Work that He is using to warn this world of what is about to happen. In God’s mercy, you have had your minds and hearts opened to be given a part in this Work. You and I will be rewarded forever if we go all out in preparing for the coming government of the living Jesus Christ who finally will return to this earth when God’s seventh angel proclaims, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” (Revelation 11:15). At that time, dear brethren and friends, deep within our very souls, we will be infinitely grateful that we have had a vital part in helping this world understand the meaning of these coming horrifying events and—as God calls some—also a part in bringing many thousands of human beings into God’s Kingdom in the first resurrection, the “better” resurrection (Hebrews 11:35). May God help us all go forward with zeal in doing our part in the greatest activity on earth today, directly preparing for the return of the King of kings.
