Gerald E. Weston

Dear Co-workers,

God is calling a select few people in today’s mixed up and confused world to a hope that surpasses anything that the human mind can conceive. And the good news doesn’t stop with you and me. God’s plan and purpose includes every human being who has ever lived. Everyone will be given a chance for eternal life in God’s family and Kingdom, but not necessarily now. As we can observe, most of mankind has never heard of the name of Christ, or are so deceived they cannot understand His plan. Our booklets, Is This the Only Day of Salvation? and The Holy Days: God’s Master Plan explain these things in greater detail, but right now we live in a confused and mixed up world.

One could say that our world is becoming crazier by the day, but putting it that way almost hints of a touch of humor when there is nothing humorous about crazy. The situation on the Korean Peninsula seems to have settled down a bit for the moment, but it is chilling that the possibility of nuclear war is even a matter of conversation.

At the same time, a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia turned violent, climaxing with a man bowling over counter-protesters with an automobile, injuring many and killing at least one. Such groups have nothing in common with the Christ of the Bible and deserve our total disgust. Racism is sin! Violence is increasing all over the world as anarchists and professional rioters smash windows on university campuses and hoodlums burn cars in city streets, and these incidents are not confined to the United States. Violence is cropping up in many nations around the world.

Our world is changing, and changing rapidly. Moral values that were the norm for much of man’s modern history are falling one after another. As soon as same-sex marriage became the law of the land, many of the same radicals immediately began the transgender movement. Anyone who disagrees is considered intolerant and a hate-monger, but it is the architects of this new immorality who are intolerant as they strive to shut down all dissent. Examples abound everywhere.

Google and YouTube recently blocked University of Toronto psychology professor Jordan Peterson’s accounts, because he refuses to bend to political correctness: “I will never use words I hate, like the trendy and artificially constructed words ‘zhe’ and ‘zher,’” Peterson argued. “These words are at the vanguard of a post-modern, radical leftist ideology that I detest, and which is, in my professional opinion, frighteningly similar to the Marxist doctrines that killed at least 100 million people in the 20th century” (The Washington Free Beacon, August 2, 2017). Google also found itself mired in controversy after firing an employee when he circulated a memo that tested their professed policy of openness and tolerance. The message was clear. Tolerance is a one-way street.

Harvard, Cornell, New York University, the University of California, and the University of Iowa are just a few of many well-known American and Canadian universities jumping on the gender-neutral pronoun bandwagon. Instead of pronouns such as him and her, students are allowed to select “pronouns” such as ze, zhe, zher, hir, hirs, hirself, or in some cases, students may make up their own identity term by which they must be referred. Grant Strobl, a junior at the University of Michigan, protested such absurdity by selecting “His Majesty.” When accused of being disrespectful of others, he responded: “I love all humans—this is not out of disrespect; I just want to restore reality” (The Washington Post, October 7, 2016). He correctly refers to this foolishness as fantasyland.

The New American reported on professor Selena Breikss of Washington State University, whose syllabus “explicitly states that students risk failure if they use common descriptors such as ‘male’ and ‘female,’ which she has dubbed ‘oppressive and hateful language’” (August 31, 2015). She is not alone among professors at WSU. Is there no sanity left in our universities?

This is not tolerance! This is not free speech! This is not love! And this is not the foundation upon which America and other Western nations were founded! This brazen new world is heading for disaster. It is in times of chaos that powerful populist leaders come to the fore. Bible prophecy tells us that a charismatic political leader in Europe, along with a fake, miracle-working religious leader, will rise up in the last days. They will be seen as saviors of a world gone mad, but the spirit power behind them will inspire a new totalitarian regime, and they will eventually fight against the only One, Jesus Christ, who can bring a rebellious world in line—and give us lasting peace (see Revelation 16:13-14; 17:12-14; and our booklet, The Beast of Revelation).

Meanwhile, a major television station in Australia continues to censor and reject our Tomorrow’s World television programs, one after another. When Rod McNair referred to the historically correct fact that the weather played a critical part in the miraculous Dunkirk evacuation, the program was rejected because it attributed the weather to divine intervention and did not “balance” it with politically correct “global warming” information. Another program was rejected because it promoted the traditional family and did not address politically correct non-traditional families. Other programs are rejected for similar political incorrectness.

Sadly, our naïve citizens do not understand what is behind political correctness. They foolishly think it is about love and tolerance, about helping people find happiness, not realizing that some of those behind these movements are anarchistic and only desire to tear down anything that relates to God and godliness. This is not to say that there are not many individuals who, due to circumstances in their lives that we may not fully understand, are confused about their gender, or who have other psychological problems. But instead of giving them loving help, these agents of social change promote the idea that these behaviors are normal, when instead they lead to unhappiness, disease, and death. As the American College of Pediatricians has rightly stated: “Conditioning children into believing a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse” (acpeds.org, May 2017).

Radical academics, anarchist rioters, social media moguls, white supremacist groups, and neo-Nazis are tearing apart the fabric of an orderly society. They promise liberty, but are themselves slaves of corruption (2 Peter 2:19).

How long do we have to do this Work? And what exactly is this Work? Jesus tells us that, “this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end [of this evil age] will come” (Matthew 24:14). This is a very different gospel than we hear preached in mainstream churches. It is a message about the return of Jesus Christ to set up His Kingdom on this earth (Zechariah 14:9). It is a message about how we can be rulers in that Kingdom under Christ to bring peace and happiness to a world that today knows little peace and lasting happiness (Luke 19:11-19; Revelation 20:4; Daniel 7:27). Our work also includes warning this world, especially the Israelite nations, of what will happen if we do not repent of our sins (Ezekiel 33:1-9; Proverbs 24:11-12). Our day of judgment is coming.

Sadly, we recently had to pass up a number of television stations that came open, due to budget limitations, though in September we will begin airing on a station in Albuquerque, New Mexico, KCHF at 9:00 p.m. Fridays and 7:30 a.m. Mondays. We know that many of our co-workers and members are going above and beyond to support this Work, and for that we thank you. Please pray that God will send more co-workers to help us that we may do a greater work while there is still time.

Before closing, I want to introduce you to two relatively new Internet initiatives. Every Thursday at 3:00 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time), we air TWNow, a live program that you can view on YouTube or Facebook. The tagline for TWNow is “News, Prophecy, and You. Big Questions. Real Answers!” The program is a live discussion with a moderator and two guests, but it is archived online and can be accessed at any time. Just go to TomorrowsWorld.org/TWNow.

The other program is a Canadian initiative called Viewpoint. These short, very skillfully constructed programs can be found at youtube.com/TomorrowsWorldViewpoint. They address a variety of current topics in an engaging style. I think you will profit from both these initiatives and hope you will pass them along to friends and family.

Thank you for your faithful support and your heartfelt prayers.

Sincerely, in Christ’s service,
Gerald E. Weston
